Philippine declares dengue national epidemic after seeing 140,000 cases

In the Philippines, there is an outbreak of mosquito-borne diseases. So the Philippines declares a dengue national epidemic.

The agency said that the declaration is made to improve the response to the outbreak of mosquito-borne diseases.

the Philippine recorded more than 140,000 cases and 622 death due to dengue so far this year. It is almost 100% more than the previous year in the same period. 

Dengue is a viral disease and found in tropical countries worldwide. It can cause nausea, vomiting, rashes and breathing problems.

the Philippine government has no managed to control dengue since the end of  2017 after they stop using Dengvaxia due to health risk.

The department of health said that. On Tuesday they were conducting a campaign to finding mosquito breeding site and destroying them.

Dengue is the most widespread mosquito disease it affects almost 400 million people around the world.
